Rumors of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s divorce are flying a few weeks after it was revealed they have been living separately. We can’t say we didn’t see this coming, or at least, I can’t.
Kim and Kanye’s marriage hasn’t been the strongest this year, ever since Kanye decided it was a good time to run for president. In the process of announcing his candidacy, Kanye said some questionable things about his wife. Stuff I’m sure Kim would have preferred to stay private. He announced that Kim considered aborting North and then went on a Twitter rampage against her and Kris Jenner. One of the Tweets read, “Kriss don’t play with me you and that calmye are not allowed around my children. Y’all tried to lock me up.” I get why Kim Kardashian was so upset, I would be too.
Obviously the two were in a bad place after all this, but Kim kept her mouth shut in public. After her inevitably lost the election, we found out they now live separately. He lives in Wyoming, while she remains in Calabasas. They didn’t spend Christmas together, Kim has not been wearing her wedding ring and has reportedly hired celebrity divorce lawyer, Laura Wasser. I would say, they are most definitely over. Who else totally saw this coming? Just me?
Why are they divorcing?
There are some conflicting reports as to why exactly they are getting divorced. I think both are pretty valid reasons. Some say, Kim Kardashian has grown and matured out of the relationship. She is becoming a lawyer and working on prison reform, while Kanye is continuing on with his antics, like running for president. He continues to ignore his bipolar diagnosis and letting it go untreated. I can see how living with someone who has a mental illness and doesn’t work towards treating it, can get tiring. Especially when you factor in taking care of four kids at the same time.
Kanye’s story is a little different. According to his sources, Kanye has grown to despise her family and their over the top ways. In those same series of tweets, he even called Kris, Kris Jong-Un. They say, he didn’t even want to go to Kim’s 40th birthday party in Tahiti in October. He ended up showing up for one day. Albeit with a really amazing gift, but still, I’m sure he could’ve set aside more time to celebrate her. To be fair, I could also see how someone could lose their mind living with that family. Oh the drama!
Kim Kardashian’s History
This is in no way Kim’s first rodeo. This will be her third divorce, so she’s basically a pro at it at this point. Does she even need Laura Wasser, or can she just represent herself this time around. Her first divorce came in 2004 after four years of legal marriage. Her second divorce was in 2013 after two years of legal marriage but only 72 days of actual marriage. At least this time around she was happy for a good amount of it. Except of course during all the times she was cleaning up his messes and having to apologize for him. Just think, Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian could have been best friends, had it not been for Kanye West.
Anyways, none of this has been confirmed, but I wouldn’t be shocked if it’s true.
