American Crime Story’s Newest Season Announced

If you thought you’d heard all there is to know about infamous crimes committed in America, Ryan Murphy thinks you’re wrong.

The newest installment of Ryan Murphy’s extremely popular show, American Crime Story, has just been announced. The anthology show, focusing on a different topic each season, will cover the plot to take down President Bill Clinton. Otherwise known as the Monica Lewinsky scandal. This season will be called Impeachment: American Crime Story, and will mostly focus around the three ladies in the middle of the scandal, Monica Lewinsky, played by Beanie Feldstein, Linda Tripp, played by Sarah Paulson and Paula Jones played by Annaleigh Ashford. The second season, centered around the murder of fashion icon Gianni Versace was released in 2018, and the first season, which focused on the trial of O.J. Simpson, aired in 2016. Season three will follow the pattern and is expected to be released in 2020.

I couldn’t be more excited to wake up to this this morning. I almost gave up on the idea of having another season of this show. The first two seasons were so good and I learned so much about crimes, and truly iconic moments in history, which occurred before I was born and which I have always been curious about. I have said from the start that scandal in the celebrity world, or even among people I know, is what I live for and I like to know every detail of what happened. Sure these shows are somewhat changed and things might be added for dramatic effect but, for the most part, the facts are all there. What bigger scandal is there than the president of the United States having an affair with a White House intern? There is no one I can trust more to make a fantastic show out of this then Ryan Murphy. I mean his track record speaks for itself. Also the fact that Monica Lewinsky herself is listed as a producer makes me feel slightly better about watching a show documenting a decision that ruined her life for a while.

Impeachment: American Crime Story is set to start airing on September 27, 2020. Now Mr. Murphy, when exactly will the next season of Feud be released?
