Charli D’Amelio is headed to Hulu with an eight part docuseries following her and her family. Charli and her sister Dixie are extremely popular on TikTok and are really milking their 15 minutes of fame.
I really hope, Charli D’Amelio is not the new Kim Kardashian. We can only handle one reality out of touch reality mega star at a time. At least, I can only handle one at a time. As someone who is not a part of the TikTok world, I really don’t understand the D’Amelio craze. Doesn’t she just stand in front of a phone camera and dance? How does that make someone the most followed person on TikTok? Did anyone ask for a reality show about her? I don’t know the answers to these questions, however I would love for someone to answer them for me.
This girl, truly is everywhere and I don’t know how I feel about it. I was okay when she was taking over TikTok, but now she’s taking things I love. I love reality TV if you haven’t guessed. She already has a YouTube channel, commercials and television specials. I’m starting to think I made a mistake getting a college degree instead of building a social media presence. I could have a reality show right now. Not that I want one, but you get what I’m trying to say.
Charli’s show will be part of what seems to be Hulu’s new push towards reality TV. They previously signed a huge deal with the Kardashians to create new content. On top of that, they also produce Taste The Nation with Padma Lakshmi, Eater’s Guide To The World, and the upcoming series The Next Thing You Eat from David Changand Planet Sex with Cara Delevingne.
Does Charli D’Amelio Deserve It
I understand Charli is popular and Hulu thinks it’s a good investment, but does she deserve it? Fans were quick to point out her spoiled behavior during a recent YouTube video. She lost hundreds of followers after showing disrespectful behavior towards a private chef, who just cooked her dinner.
She asked for dino nuggets when she was just served a gourmet dinner. I guess this is what happens when a teenager becomes a millionaire overnight. Her sister wasn’t exactly well behaved either. I didn’t think you would need to be told not to gag in front of the chef that just made your food.
The D’Amelio Show is set to be released in 2021. Will you watch? Let me know in the comments!
