Tinsley Mortimer got her happy ending after boyfriend Scott popped the question, in this weeks episode of Real Housewives of New York City.
Out of all the single housewives to appear on the show, I have never wanted one of them to find love more than Tinsley Mortimer. From her very first scene on the show, her story line has been finding love. We first met Scott in 2017. Former cast member, Carole Radziwill, introduced the pair, and the rest is history. For years we have watched Tinsley cry about wanting kids, a husband and the white picket fence. I’m over the moon for her and am excited for her future. I just wish her finding happiness didn’t mean losing her as a housewife. Scott and Tinsley now live in Chicago, and since there is not housewives franchise there, we must say goodbye to her forever. Her last episode has aired and damn was that a classy exit.
Tinsley’s Goodbye
It is very rare for a housewife to go into an episode, knowing it is their last. Tinsley was able to say her piece and close out her chapter in her own words. Her goodbye confessional was really touching. It is obvious that she acknowledges all the doors the show has opened for her and all the good it has done. She thanks Sonia for being such a great friend and letting her stay in the townhouse. Even that she did nothing but complain while living there and Sonia eventually drove her crazy. Who wouldn’t go crazy living with Sonia? It is always great to see someone leave an experience with gratitude and happiness. Although I will miss her, I am happy she found what she wanted in Chicago.
Housewives’ Reactions
Usually when you tell your group of friends good news, they are happy for you. You would think Tinsley was telling them about how to give a root canal they were so disinterested. I am most disappointed with Dorinda. I don’t understand her need to nitpick and bully Tinsley. Sure, she’s an easy target, but that doesn’t mean she should be your only target. All season long, Dorinda has been losing me with her vileness. The comment about lending Tinsley her turkey baster so she can have a baby was so uncalled for. Especially after hearing for multiple seasons how badly she wants a baby. Ramona was horrible too but what else is new. I’m happy Elise and Leah were there to celebrate with her.
Sonia Is All About Sonia
One of the best things about Tinsley’s goodbye post is Sonia’s comment. Apparently it isn’t good enough that Sonia got a shout out in Tinsley’s goodbye monologue. She also needs a shout out on Instagram. How else will the people know about her good deeds. I just thought her comment deserved a mention. It truly is the most self obsessed move she could have made. Isn’t that the Sonia Morgan brand though? Don’t get me wrong, I love Sonia. In fact, she’s one of my favorite housewives. There is no one like Sonia Morgan, and there never be anyone else like Sonia Morgan. She is a lifestyle brand.
Conclusion
