The Bachelorette Premieres Tonight and Clare Brings the Drama

The Bachelorette premieres tonight and fans are expecting a season like nothing we have ever seen before. From the looks of the previews, bachelorette Clare Crawley brings the drama, and “blows up The Bachelorette.”

We all know, I am not a fan of The Bachelor or The Bachelorette. As much as I love reality tv, you best believe I also have standards. That being said, I kind of sort of actually want to watch this season. The editors of the super tease did a great job. For the first time, it seems like the contestant is really there to find love, not just get famous like in the past. Clare is older and it’s clear she is not there to play games and entertain little boys. There starts the drama ladies and gentleman. So let’s just get into it.

Contestants Threaten a Walk Out

So, from what I can tell, and what has been told to us, Clare seems to find love pretty fast. Now, who else thought this wouldn’t sit well with producers? All of us? Okay great. I mean they are there to film a reality show, which thrives on drama. There’s no drama if everyone is happy. This leads me to the clips of the guy contestants. At one point, the are complaining about all the attention Dale, Clare’s true love, is getting. They even threaten to just walk off the show. If this doesn’t prove how childish they are, I don’t know what does. Either they are jealous, or the producers are meddling and either withholding something from Clare, or the other guys.

Claire and Dale on The Bachelorette

My guess is that they’re mad about not getting as much screen time as they thought they would. There could be some truth to the theory that the guys know something Clare doesn’t. In one clip, one guy states he wonders when Clare will realize, “the truth—that Dale’s maybe not who Clare thinks he is.” I want to know this truth about who Dale really is. This gives some validity to the producers are meddling theory, but it could also be some shady editing. I have been let down by too many promos which promise drama and don’t deliver, so I’m not holding my breath.

Two Bachelorettes?

The drama continues when a seemingly new bachelorette steps onto the scene. This is where I get confused. I mean, I get why the guys would be upset Clare found love early on. What I don’t understand however, is the network replacing her. There has been so much ambiguity surrounding her departure. I don’t even know if I can call it a departure. We know Tayshia Adams  joins the show, but she isn’t in the teasers. On top of that, Chris Harrison mentioned in an interview with E! that this is very much Clare’s season. All this mystery is really peaking my interest. I never thought I would be excited for The Bachelorette to start, but here we are.

Wrap Up

Well, that’s pretty much all we have to look forward to. Before I sign off though, I want to give a shout out to Clare. Her comeback to being age shamed elevates her to queen status. We can ignore the fact that she was in tears as she said it though.

Are you excited to watch The Bachelorette this season? What do you think of Clare? Let me know in the comments!
