Sources close to Gigi Hadid let it slip that the model is expecting her first child with on again off again boyfriend, singer Zayn Malik.
Although Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik have yet to confirm it themselves, it is being reported that the two are expecting their first child. The pair have been on and off for a few years, but a baby is always a blessing and I am happy for them. Most recently the two reconnected just before the holidays and celebrated Gigi’s 25th birthday together in quarantine. News of this pregnancy came as quite a shock to me but I am happy for them all the same. That baby is going to be the most gorgeous creature to ever exist so there’s that. With this pregnancy news, let’s take a look back at their relationship.

After much speculation, Zayn confirmed the relationship in December 2015. As if that wasn’t enough, Gigi was featured in Zayn’s sexy music video for his debut single, Pillowtalk. That video gave life to all who ship this couple and continues to do so today. We had to wait quite a while for the red carpet debut, but oh boy was the wait worth it. Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik had their debut at the 2016 Met Gala. If that isn’t the place to make a red carpet debut, I don’t know what is. For the rest of 2016 they stayed happy as can be. Flirting online and making everyone around them jealous was normal for them. The more we learn about their relationship, the more we love them.
2017
The new year started with engagement rumors right off the bat. Sadly for all of us, the rumors turned out not to be true. Gigi just like’s to tease us all with a ring on that finger. The rest of the year went beautiful. The pair went on vacation with both of their mothers, which makes it clear they view each other as family. From this it became obvious they truly love each other. If Real Housewife of Beverly Hills’ Yolanda Hadid approves, we all approve. Another deciding factor was their matching Spiderman Halloween costumes and other great moments. That didn’t last much longer though.
First, Second and Third Break Ups
Hearts around the world were crushed when Zayn made this shocking announcement in Spring 2018. It seemed as if everything was perfect but I guess it wasn’t. I always get sad when couples who look so good together break up. For this reason, I was over the moon when their romance was rekindled in June 2018 and confirmed in October 2018. Just a few short months later in January 2019, break up rumors ran rampant and fans were hit with a second breakup from the pair. We didn’t have to wait much longer for another reconciliation though, lucky for us. Zayn and Gigi reportedly got back together in December. Their relationship was confirmed when both posted tributes to each other on Valentines Day 2020.
Since then the two have been able to keep it together and have managed not to break up a third time. I for one am really hoping it sticks this time. The got back together right in time for this nasty quarantine business. If they are quarantining together, I really hope being together 24/7 doesn’t lead to a third breakup. Even more so now that they are having a baby together. If they can get through quarantine, they really are a couple that is built to last.
Anyways, I wish nothing but the best for the two as a couple and as parents. I just can’t believe Yolanda is going to be a grandmother. She threw down on the Real Housewives, but you could tell she always loved her children. She is going to be a great grandmother. Congrats to the whole family!
